How we ensure responsible use of property data
Our Commitment
RoofIQ provides property analytics, not personal data. We deliver qualified address data to help home improvement service providers identify suitable properties. We do not collect, store, or provide personal contact information (phone numbers, email addresses) of property occupants.

Legal Basis for Processing
Public Data Sources
The property data we process comes from government open data initiatives and publicly available registries, including:
- Government energy efficiency registries
- Public land and property transaction records
- Official census and demographic statistics
Legitimate Interests
Where property data may relate to identifiable individuals (as property owners), we rely on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR. Our processing:
- Uses only publicly available information
- Serves the legitimate purpose of facilitating energy efficiency improvements
- Has minimal impact on individuals (no sensitive or contact data)
- Supports UK net-zero policy objectives

Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
Land Transaction Data

Demographic Statistics

Client Responsibilities
When using RoofIQ data, our clients must:
- Use the data only for legitimate business purposes
- Comply with all applicable data protection and marketing laws
- Follow best practices for door-to-door sales (TPS compliance, reasonable hours, etc.)
- Not attempt to append personal contact data to our property data
- Not resell or redistribute the data without permission
- Respect "no cold callers" signs and resident requests
Property Owner Rights
If you are a property owner and wish to be excluded from our datasets:
- Contact us with your property address via our contact form
- We will add your property to our suppression list
- Your property will be excluded from future client deliveries
Note: We cannot remove your property from public government databases as we do not control those sources. To request removal from source data, contact the relevant government body directly.
Security Measures
We protect data through:
- Encrypted storage and transmission (TLS 1.3, AES-256)
- Access controls and authentication
- Regular security assessments
- UK/EEA data residency
- Staff training on data protection
